I went from 6 to a 5 too. One other site went from a 0 to a 4 and another went from 5 to a 4. Best results of clients web sites is from 0 to a 6.
A lot of it doesn't make sense to me but I'll get to the bottom of it by looking at log files for the next few days.

If I had to make a logical deduction:
1. Growth in the number of websites and the number of links inflates the bar for each page rank. So if you needed X amount of copy or Y amount of links to achieve a PR5 before today, now you might need X*1.15 or Y*1.25.
2. If your X or/and Y is below the newly inflated requirement you will loose PR. If your X or/and Y is above the new requirements you will gain PR.
Does that make sense?

It's such a relief to see that the update is here (even though it doesn't make a difference).
But anyhow, my home page went from 3 to 4, but my sub-pages went from 0 to 5. Any explanations?

My remodeling site appears to be going from 0 to 2, which sounds about right. My lingerie site was at a 2 and has not moved yet. I would expect at least a 4 but you never know with Google.

It's more than a PR Update. Mine includes and IBL update and, in the Digital Point Tool it now shows the real number of pages I have indexed.
Here is an interesting observation. It appears that the pages which come-up in Google Searches received PR even though they are not disimilar from my other pages that did not get PR. For example, I have a page that gets a few hits each week on "How to clean pearls." This is now a PR3. The fact that the page was already getting hits was the only difference. Hmmmm.....

It's common for new pages to be updated while existing pages are skipped. The Wedding Site
