66.102.11.99 and 66.102.11.104 show increases from PR2 and PR3 to PR4 on most pages. These 2 ips are also showing fresh pages (currently PR0) as PR2 (expected) so seems to be worth keeping an eye on it.

It said my homepage was a PR4 and my internal pages had all gone from PR2's to PR0's. I would imagine that would have been because of our site being down for a long period of time - but it's been up for quite a while since.
I really hope it is wrong

Me too. It'll go up next time
This kind of reinforces the idea of quarterly updates. It could have just been an early new year update though, too
I guess next time will cut it clean for the non-believers.

For me it worked out rather nice. We had one page dropped from pr6 to pr 5. Bu t a lot of pages that went from pr4 to pr5. Good luck to everyone to get those pr's up. and remember it's serps that mather not pr....

Little change for me. The doubling of the database size doesn't appear to have had as big an impact on PR as some feared.

I don't think that the pagerank update is complete. Final result may vary.
I see many changes on my new sites too, PR from 1 to 5 for newly added sites....but let's wait a few days !

I saw a very interesting thing in the recent update. A client made an error and put noindex tags on all his pages in an existing site that was previously well indexed and ranked, with the result that Google dropped everything except a link to the home page.
I got this straightened out quickly and Google came back and respidered the and indexed home page on Dec 31 and the internal pages on Jan 1.
The home page has a PR4 and the internal pages (which used to be PR3) now have a PR0.
Funny update.

That's exactly the same ranking as my site. We were down for about 2 months and we only really got a deep crawl a couple of weeks or so ago.
A PR4 to the homepage isn't unusual in this case though - we have a lot of links from other sites.
From what I hear it is a funny update.

Hello,
For some months i have over 1000 IBLs to one of my sites (now I have 1550). I know PR does not matter, but how many does it take to get PR 6. I have to say i don't have IBLs from sites over PR 5.
Kindest regards,
Razvan Pop

There is no way of knowing exactly but if the page had only one outgoing link on the page then roughly
Two PR8 link = PR7
Four PR7 links = PR6
Eight PR6 links = PR5
16 PR5 links = PR5
32 PR4 liks = PR5
So as a very rough idea if there were 50 outgoing links on each PR4 page you would need around 50 x 32 (1600) such PR4 links to get a PR5 and
roughly twice that many (3200) to get a PR6
Note that these numbers are ballpark figures only and that in normal circumstances you will have a variety of links with different PR and different numbers of outgoing links, and that many links may not give any PR if they are javascript links, Iframe links, cgi links etc.
