Keywords and Linking and Page names Oh My!
I wanted to stitch together a few threads here;
First is Keyword Development;
http://www.webworkshop.net/seoforum/vie ... hp?t=13818
The Second is Page naming;
http://www.webworkshop.net/seoforum/vie ... hp?t=13523
And the tail end here for Link Text;
http://www.webworkshop.net/seoforum/vie ... 275#113275
Through this progression we have;
1.Identified KW/Phrases and ‘extensions’
2.Developed targeted Page naming convention
3.Looked at Link Text options
I generally don’t post data/strategies in public, but it’s my own, not client data and I want to emphasize what we have done here.
Step I)
If we have a target of ' Business Development' or 'Internet Business Development' we would work it with a variety of 'extensions' for natural search phrasing such as;
Affordable Internet Business Development Services (full)
Affordable Business Development
Affordable Development Services
Affordable Internet Business
Internet Business Development
Internet Business Development Services
Business Development Services
You get the idea. With a few CORE terms and some 'extensions' I can reach quite a few targets.
NOTE; I actually added Marketing as a sub target via Meta, Links and on-page factors.
Step II)
I then decide to target 2 pages;
To start the Home page;
http://www.thebusinessdevelopers.com
I am now working on an Interior page;
http://www.thebusinessdevelopers.com/se ... vices.html
Step III (for example I ain’t giving everything sheesh)
Link Building (link Profiles 101
http://www.webworkshop.net/seoforum/vie ... hp?t=13686 )
Write a handful of articles.
Choose quality distribution channels
Use variants created in Step I for link texts (hand submit to vary text)
This little exercise gives you a general idea of how this al relates. It is by no means a comprehensive guide as the more competitive a term, the more aggressive and dynamic the program needs to be.
I hope this helped bring a few topics together :0)
