 New Google Pool
We shauld start a pool on when googles PR/IBL updates happen for giggles.
everyone chip in a buck each time and the winner gets it all. Please realize that if you post a date in here it *is* counted as an entry. Only post one date.
I would have to say another is due to start around: the 27th of this month.

Please keep in mind that I am counting these and will only allow winners to be people who have been posting here for a little while or that all of us know. Dont think you are going to jump on here with yer first post and win. This keeps everything fair and makes sure we know who to flame if they dont ante up after
Also we can not have multiple winners, so make sure your answer has not already been posted.

lol
It is quite suspicious that he wants to bet his money on such a thing.
I think I'll wait for the next pool ;)

Robski: bah chicken. It's all in good fun.
Janeth, not many posts per se, just so that one timers dont pop in and post a date with no intention of paying up if they lose.

You can not have the 5th I have it and I'm not splitting my money with anyone.
But if you do not tell anyone I will pick another day and you can have the 5th and we can split the money.

I'm normally really big on attention to detail!
I'll go with the sixth then because it is an even number and I would like to get even!
I've looked-through too many server-logs lately - that's my problem!
Kind regards
Mike

If everyone misses does that money go towards next month.
Who detemines when the update starts the 5th here may be the 6th there.

Yeh, I would say most have based it on EST (US), so lets go with that. I am open to suggestions on how to handle no winners.
1) should we just start fresh next time.
or
2) should we make it so the cash carries over?
Majority rules.

I'd make the cash carry over, maybe it'll add up to something...

I'll go with that. If the update does to me what I think it will I will probably need the money!
Been looking at some stuff from Wednesday - can't believe I missed it! I really value Fathom's opinions (though the forum he moderates for is a big mindless advert - they don't deserve him).

Not to be too technical about this, but we are going by EDT (Eastern Daylight Savings Time), not EST (Eastern Standard Time). That one hour could allow 2 people to win if one claimed EST and one EDT.
Now there. It has been said.

We could also have a problem where it was reported in one forum at one time and another forum at another time.
So do we just go by when it was reported in this forum?

or we could go by the "earliest" report.

EDT is fine by me. And I would say the earliest "correct" report on any forum.
